Acai is a fruit that grows in Brazilian tropical forests and has become famous all over the world for its high antioxidant content that, as we know, helps us stay young and healthy. This is another superfood that indigenous people have consumed for their healing properties to strengthen their immune system and take extra energy. Acai is rich in anthocyanins (which justifies their purple colour) and flavonoids that prevent oxidation and aging of cells from free radicals. Acai has 30 times more anthocyanins than red wine. It is also a particularly rich source of good Omega 6 and Omega 9 fat and B complex vitamins. You will find it in two forms: powdered and frozen puree. I personally prefer the puree as it adds a more intense flavour and richer texture to my smoothies. But the powder will equally arm you with all the nutrients of this wonderful fruit. I have experimented with various Acai Bowl recipes, but I think this is my favourite one. The magic ingredient is cashew butter which gives it a particularly sweet nut flavour and fits perfectly with the fruity Acai flavour.

– 100gr of Acai puree
– 2 frozen bananas
– 100gr of strawberries
– 2 spoons of cashew butter
