Dears, I am sure that by now you know me well enough to be like an open book: my age, the change in my lifestyle and my diet have caused me to quit drinking at the bars and any cocktail I no longer drink outside i make the next morning into a breakfast smoothie. I am inspired from the ingredients and the way cocktails are served, minus the awful sugar and alcohol it includes which are not fit for a healthy breakfast. Nevertheless, you could use the same recipe still add Alcohol if you want to treat your friends or your mate at night with a refreshing cocktail with extra vitamins. Last year I made a matcha mojito. This year, I am making an absolutely refreshing strawberry daiquiri. Half a cup of strawberry and the rest with ice, it comes across as a slushie instead of a breakfast smoothie. It is ideal for you to moisturize and revitalize from sweaty hot summer mornings. Strawberries give vitamin c generously to your body (they are antioxidant and enhance your immune system) but you need to be cautious when buying them; only choose organic production strawberries, as it is the fruit grown with most pesticides. If any fruit is worth paying attention to, it’s choosing to buy organic strawberries.
Ingredients for 2 people
2 packs of organic strawberries (about 400gr)
5 large ice cubes
10 leaves of fresh mint
Juice from 1 lime, and a few slices for garnish
A little betel to garnish
Preparation
Put all the ingredients inside the blender and blend until the ice is crushed and made like a slushie.
Garnish with a piece of strawberry and lime on the mouth of the glass. If you want a more realistic result, you can rub some ice or lime on the mouth of the glass, put some betel on a plate and gently rub the mouth of the glass on it so the betel sticks on it.
