It was my brothers name day this Tuesday so though I would treat him with a dessert…. So I prepared these super delicious Ferrero rocher dupe bliss balls with dates, cacao and hazelnuts, covered in dark chocolate. Ingredients (for approx 12 bliss balls)
- 1 cup hazelnuts
- 12 medjoul dates
- 1 tbs raw cacao powder
- 1/2tsp vanilla essence
- 1tbs almond butter
For the coating:
- 200grs of good quality dark chocolate
- 1/4 cup crashed hazelnuts
Preparation
- Blitz in the food processor all the ingredients to make a sticky dough
- Take dough with a teaspoon and roll into a ball
- Refrigerate for min 3 hours
- Melt the chocolate in a double saucepan (Bain marie)
- Use a teaspoon or a wooden stick to roll the bliss balls in the melted chocolate until well coated
- Put the crashed hazelnuts in a bowl and roll the balls (still on the wooden stick) in the crashed hazelnuts.
