I know that green smoothies aren’t your favourites but as it’s known, a green smoothie per day keeps the doctor away, and you have to try this specific one! It’s the most nutritious and lightweight way to start your day; a glass rich in iron, calcium, magnesium, Vitamin A and C, and good fat that will keep you satiated by midday. In this recipe I added half a spoon of spirulina for extra protein, valuable B vitamins and iron. You can easily replace it with matcha! In addition, if you use any protein powder you can add a spoonful of it. It’s tasty, rich, and peanut butter and banana will hide the taste of spinach and kale that some may not like.
Ingredients for 1 large glass
– 1 handful of spinach
– 1 handful of kale
– ½ banana, ideally frozen
– ½ avocado
– 1 spoon of peanut butter
– 1 tsp of vanilla paste or vanilla extract
– ½ tsp of spirulina or breadcrumbs
– 1 glass of almond milk
– 1 date (optional)
– 1 tsp of hemp seeds for garnish
Preparation
Put all the ingredients in the blender and blend well. Serve in a tall glass and garnish with hemp seeds.
