This breakfast combines all the colours of sunrise and trust me, it’s going to motivate you to get out of bed in the morning. The recipe is inspired by a similar porridge recipe by Deliciously Ella. Its yellow colour is owed to turmeric which, as I ve written in my post recently, has innumerable anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties so it will only benefit you to add this natural medicine in your diet. Inside, it has hidden grated apple and ginger that give a special sweet and slightly spicy flavour, while blood orange that is now in its season offering its vitamin C and vibrant colour. Both raisins and oats are a good source of magnesium which is needed to produce energy in the body but also to relax the muscles. In addition, cinnamon is the best thing to put on your breakfast as it regulates sugar levels in the blood, so you reduce your longing for something sweet around 11. It’s a very satiating breakfast that is suitable for those who have stomach irregularities or stomach ulcers, and those who want to shield their immune system.
Ingredients (for 1 bowl)

– 1 cup of almond milk
– 1 grated apple
– 5cm of grated ginger
– 1 tsp of turmeric
– 1 tsp of cinnamon
– 1 blood orange, cut in slices
– 1 handful of raisins
– A few sunflower seeds for garnish
Preparation
– Boil the oats in almond milk on medium heat. Add the grated apple, ginger, turmeric and cinnamon and let them boil for about 10 minutes until the porridge and oats absorb all the milk. If it thickens too much, you can dilute it with some water.
